Florida Dance Theatre 
Lakeland's Florida Dance Theatre offers education, outreach, and entertainment. As Polk County's only professional dance company and training academy, Florida Dance Theater brings the art of dance to greater Lakeland. Founded in 1993, Florida Dance Theatre offers three main productions each year.
Florida Outdoor Sculpture Competition
The Florida Outdoor Sculpture Competition, started in 2001, is a joint project of the Polk Museum of Art and the City of Lakeland, featuring 10 sculptures selected from around the country. Lakelanders enjoy the artwork which is placed along a beautiful, tree-lined pedestrian walkway. Lakeland also is home to the Tribute to the Volunteer Spirit by nationally recognized artist Albert Paley, a 41 foot tall monumental sculpture which celebrates the energy and dedication of volunteers.
Frank Lloyd Wright Architecture & Visitor Center
Lakeland is honored to house the largest single site collection of Frank Lloyd Wright Architecture. Located at Florida Southern College,Frank Lloyd Wright Architecture & Visitors Center features not only the famous collection itself but also information about the famous architect. Featured among the permanent exhibition are the architects photos, drawings, correspondence, and the 12-structure "Child of the Sun" exhibit.
Imperial Symphony Orchestra
Lakeland's Imperial Symphony Orchestra provides a full season of live performances. Favorites include the fall outdoor pops concert in Lakeland and Winter Haven and a "Concert Under the Stars" at Historic Bok Sanctuary in the spring.
Lakeland Center
Originally opened in 1974, the Lakeland Center is home to many diverse performing arts programs. Legendary and contemporary artists continue to offer performances to Central Florida fans at the Lakeland Center which doubled in size with a renovation in 1994. Other offerings include the Lakeland Broadway and Entertainment Series, Imperial Symphony Orchestra, various children's performances, and numerous dance and talent competitions. The Jenkins Arena is also home to Lakeland's very own Lakeland Thunderbolts, our indoor arena football team, and, during winter season, visitors can enjoy public ice skating.
Pied Piper Players
Pied Piper Players produces five Main Stage Productions per season which runs from October through July at the Lake Mirror Civic Center Theatre. Performances include a variety of genre including comedy, musicals, and drama.
Polk Theatre
Built in 1928, Lakeland's Polk Theatre is a romantic, beautiful setting offering both quality films each weekend and a series of live Broadway performances each season. The theatre is beautiful to behold filled with the magic and wonder of years past. Come enjoy the Mediterranean themed theatre and the splendor of the starry skied ceiling.
