Harrison School for the Arts
Harrison School for the Arts is a public high school opened in 1989 and located at 750 Hollingsworth Rd in Lakeland Florida serving approximately 375 students in grades 9 -12. This school was given a grade of "A" by the Florida Department of Education in 2005-2006 based on student results of the state sponsored FCAT (Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test.) Teachers at Harrison report an average experience base of 13 years. Harrison's reputation for solid education is augmented through a preparatory track geared toward the Arts. Students enjoy exposure to dance, music, theater, and visual arts.
George W. Jenkins High School
George W. Jenkins High School serves approximately 2,196 students in the Lakeland Area. Located on a 95 acre site at 6000 Lakeland Highlands Road, George W Jenkins High School is Lakeland's newest high school founded in 1993. The Florida Department of Education issued a grade of "B" for George W Jenkins High School during the 2005-2006 school year. George Jenkins offers 19 sports and 30 different clubs for interested students. Jenkins students carry a reputation of exemplary community involvement and have been awarded the state's Five Star School award.
Lakeland Senior High School
Located at 726 Lake Hollingsworth Road, Lakeland Senior High School serves 2,139 students in grades 9 through 12. Lakeland Senior High School received a grade of "C" from the Florida Department of Education in 2005-2006. The average experience of teachers at this location is 12 years with 28% possessing advanced degrees in their field of expertise. Lakeland carries a reputation for athletic excellence offering students over 18 sports options. The Football tradition of winning includes National Championships in 2005 and 2006.
Kathleen High School
Kathleen Senior High School is located at 2600 Crutchfield Road in Lakeland Florida and was the second high school added to Lakeland. With an enrollment of 1,653 "Red Devils", today, Kathleen High School is the third largest in the city. Baltimore Ravens Football team Ray Lewis, line backer, is a graduate of Kathleen High School. Kathleen offers student 13 different clubs and 16 different sports teams.
